Katrina bought a poppy for her grandfather and has kept it in London, in her home in Blackheath.
“My paternal grandfather, Harry Reichenberg, served in 1918/19 – interestingly as an alien for the British, because he was born in Poland not England. I believe he served in the Middlesex Regiment.
Sadly, I never knew my grandfather as Harry moved to Australia in 1928 and died when my dad was 7, in 1936. It felt fitting to buy a poppy for both him and my maternal Grandfather who served in WW2 in Darwin, Australia.”
