I bought four poppies. One for myself one for each of my two daughters and one for the sister of my Goddaughter Lt Joanna Dyer who was killed in Iraq.
I went to see the poppies in London and found it incredibly moving. To me the poppy is a reminder for all who fought and suffered in all wars. My father survived the 2nd World War but his brother Arthur Holroyd went down on The Hood. My Goddaughter was 24yrs old when she was killed in Iraq. We will remember them. The photo is of my Granddaughter holding my poppy. She loves it and in time will understand its significance.
