I bought this poppy and normally it is displayed in my home, but once a year I take it to my scout group (8th Sheppey) and talk about what it means, this is just before my group start selling poppy’s locally. We lay a wreath at the local cenotaph and parade as a group on Remembrance Sunday and attend a Remembrance Service as a sign of respect. We do this every year. I think it is very important that young people know about war and sacrifice, for as the say “those who do not learn the lessons of the past are doomed to repeat them in the future” So I do this “less we forget”
