My mum bought the poppy after we visited them at the Tower multiple times over the period they were there. She was a photographer and took a lot of beautiful photographs of them. When she passed away a couple of years ago I received the poppy. She’d bought it as a remeberence of the times we’d had in London and also I’m memory of the many family members that fought in the war and also my great grandma who is still alive but was a singer for the soldiers and she helped out greatly with the war effort. Her husband was part of the battle of Dunkirk but survived the war but it is still important to remember the selfless work he did for us and the country as well as many other men and women especially the ones that died for our country. It is also important to remember the soldiers from all countries not just the UK.
