My poppy is for my family to remember. It lives in its box and carefully stored away until spring and then lives in the garden until the first frost is forecast. We also have a gift card with a poppy image on our mantelpiece. It was placed there in 2014 and will stay there until the anniversary of the end of he First World War. My daughter wrote the date of the start of war in it and will write the date and time of the end of the war in 2018. I am proud of the poppy and card. They are good reminders of the length of the war and the sacrifice of so many, for our tomorrow.
