I bought a poppy as I studied WW1 Poetry as an undergraduate History student and have always admired the symbolism. I feel that the war dead must be honoured in every way possible to recognise their ultimate sacrifice. My brother was an army medic in the 1990’s and I am immensely proud of him and all our wonderful military personnel and immensely thankful he returned home safe.

The poppy display was absolutely beautiful, as is the one now in Plymouth. Such a wonderful memorial and I feel honoured to own a small piece of it. My poppy is in pride of place.
