Our poppy means everything to us. We didn’t buy it to honour a lost loved one but bought it to honour those gallant young men a century ago who fought in the most appalling of circumstancs.
My grandfather fought in the Great War in 1920. He tried to join up in 1918 but was 2 years to young.
My great uncle was evacuated from Dunkirk.
My brothers have served, my first husband served and my son in law serves. We are a proud services family and proud to own a poppy.
