My Poppy is in a vase made from some trench art and sits in a corner of my room. (Moved for photo). I purchased this is memory of my late husband Fergus who was an ex Royal Marines Commando. He sadly passed away nearly 4 years ago from cancer aged 54.
I knew had he been alive he would have wanted one so I got one for him.
It was our dream to move to Cyprus and though I didn’t want to come to Cyprus to live our dream alone, last year I made the decision to come and I dont regret doing so. My Poppy of course means the world to me not just for my husbands memory but also for members of my family who were servicemen and have passed and also for my great uncle who was lost at Ypres but never found.
