I couldn’t miss the opportunity to own such a remarkable symbol of remembrance.
I visited the Tower of London during the stunning display and was seriously moved by the experience of the sight and sound of the bugler and reading of those who fell, that day, 100 years previously in the ‘Great War’. I’ve also visited monuments in the Somme and WW1 trenches.
My Grandmothers brother was one of the many who gave their life for mine to be as it is.
It was just my way of saying ‘Thank You’.
I shall treasure it forever.
